Art life of Huang Miaozi
Huang Miaozi was born in 1913 at Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province; He was educated in Hong Kong when he was young. Which he like poetry and painting very much. He start learn the Chinese tradition writing when he was 8-year-old, he was learning from a famous teacher Mr. Deng Erya when he was 12 years. After 1938, he was work and engage in cultural activities in Guangzhou, Chongqing, Shanghai and other places. He finally settles down in Beijing after the 1950.
Huang Miaozi was the former member of People's Republic of China Political Consultative Conference (three time), the National Art and Literature Committee members, and executive director of the National Association of calligraphers, the National Artists Association. He was former honorary professor at Australian Queensland Griffith University, the Chinese Artists Association awarded him "renowned for their achievements in art history On Home" certificate of merit at may 2004.
Huang Miaozi had long-time activities in the arts circle in China, he combine in a lot of art area. He prose poetry and art articles in many magazines in China and abroad. Huang Miaozi had his painting exhibitions in Beijing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shanghai and other places in China; also he had show inTokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong and Cologne, Germany.
In 1988, The Hong Kong culture exchange Centre in order to promotion of Chinese art Culture, they decide to sponsored and exhibition the "Huang Miaozi, Yu Feng calligraphy and painting ".
June 1989, he was residing in Australia at the invitation by the University of Brisbane, Australia. To teach painting and creativity Chinese art, he had several exhibitions been hold and got high praise for his work.
In 1992, Huang Miaozi and Gu gan and exhibitions together at Museum of Cologne, Germany. This is the first time at the Museum history to show the Contemporary Chinese calligraphy works.
He was invited to attend the calligraphy and painting exhibition which organized by China Academy of Fine Arts.
In February 1995, he was invited to Beijing Yanhuang Art for organized "Huang Miaozi, Yu Feng calligraphy and painting exhibition."
In November 2003, Japan Tokushima University and Tokushima Prefecture literature Museum organized Huang Miaozi couples of painting and calligraphy exhibition.
In April 2007, "Beitou Xielao - Huang Miaozi, Yu Feng Art Exhibition." Was held in the China Art Gallery. His works have been collection from Great British Museum, the Oriental Art Museum in Cologne, Germany, and many other private collectors
