未知x的嬗变
艺术并不仿造可见的东西,而是把不可见的东西创造出来。

过往讨论抽象,从康定斯基和蒙德里安开始,在形式主义演进的逻辑中对于视觉语言的纯化,在绘画中表现为去除图像的文学性,再现性,甚至音乐功能。但在今天,我们很多认知和判断的基础并非具体的事物,而是建立在一种抽象的数据关系之上的。莫兰迪曾说:“我相信,没有什么比我们实际上看到的更抽象、更不实在的东西了。”今日确实如此,传统意义上关于视知觉经验不断在新的层面上被突破,手机二维码、VR影像、浸入式体验等等,这些新的生活体验并非源自实体,而是源自于一种抽象性的数据结构和逻辑关系。
X-transmutation
Art is not imitation of something visible, but it creates something invisible.

Discussions of abstract in the past began with Kandinsky and Mondrian. The purification of visual language in the logic of formalism's evolution was manifested in the removal of literariness, reproducibility and even music function of images in painting. But today, many bases of our perceptions and j udgments are not on concrete things, but on some abstract data relationships. "I believe there is nothing more abstract orless tangible than what we actually see," Morandi once said. It is true today that th e experience of visual perception in the traditional sense has been constantly broken through at new levels, such as mobile phone, QR code, VR image, immersive experience, etc. These new life experiences are not derived from entities, but from an abstract data structure and logical relationship.
This exhibition approach abstract painting from the perspective of individual experience of the younger generation, to replace the previous general discussion of abstract concepts, and to avoid the simple semantic division of abstract painting by "cold", "hot", "sensibility" and "rationality". The exhibition selects works of eight young artists: Chen Jiahong, Gu yifei, Hong Zhangbo, Li Siqi, Liu Shiyang, Shi Yuanxin, Tan Tan and Wen Ruiran. Their works are not only based on the extension of physical sensory functions, but also reflect on the relationship between data, traditional culture and the expression of materials and materiality. The exhibition is entitled "X-Transmutation", and the symbol "X" indicates an expression of the unknown, symbolizing the openness creative. Just as Paul klee said “Create the invisible", the charm of the new generation abstract painting lies in the unknown "X" experience. Their works are either based on the transmutation of visual perception experience orexplore the internal abstract genes of the merging mixed social ecology. This abstract expression is integrated or purified in the artist's works, and is presented with more specific problems or consciousness directly related to the individual' s life experience. Whether it is to resist group unconsciousness or to express new structural anxiety, the abstract expression of the young generation is growing under a new dimension that changes rapidly and difficult to be stereotyped.

本次展览希望以年轻一代的个体经验方面相关的角度切入抽象绘画,替代以往对于抽象概念的笼统探讨,回避以“冷”“热”,“感性”“理性”对抽象绘画进行简单的语义划分。展览选择了陈家红、谷懿霏、洪张博、李思奇、刘诗阳、施元欣、谭坦、文瑞然八位青年艺术家的作品。他们的作品既有基于身体感官机能的延展,也有对于数据关系的思考,还有对于传统文化的反思以及材料和物质性的表达。展览命名为“未知X的嬗变”,符号“X”,预示着一种未知的表达,象征着创造性的开放可能,就像保罗·克利所说“把不可见的东西创造出来”,新一代抽象绘画的魅力就在于未知的“X”经验。他们的作品或基于视知觉经验的嬗变,或探索正在成型的混杂社会生态的内在抽象基因。这种抽象表达在艺术家的作品中或综合或提纯,都以更为明确的与个体生命体验直接关联的问题或意识呈现出来。无论是抵抗群体性的无意识还是表达新的结构性焦虑,青年一代的抽象表达都在一种瞬息万变且难以定型的新维度下生长。
